
This 430-acre parcel is comprised
of a gravel floodplain terrace, a sand and gravel shoreline,
and the open water associated
with the 3,324-acre Lake Senachwine, a backwater lake of the Illinois River.
The area offers bank fishing,
boating, snowmobiling, ice skating, a seasonally enclosed shelter with
a fireplace, picnic shelters, and grills. A variety of water affiliated
birds are common at the site. Vistitors may see wintering American
Bald Eagles, Canadian Geese, Blue Herons, and several duck species.
